Helping People Live
and Age Well

Over 115 Years of Caregiving Experience
With more than 115 years of caregiving experience and research, we understand that a safe, secure environment along with medical and supportive care are essentials. No less important are good food, stimulating activities, a sense of community and a home that feels like home. At Millrise Seniors Village we are dedicated to providing all of this to our community.
Different Levels of Care
to Meet Your Needs
Millrise offers different levels of care from Independent Living to Supported Living (including Assisted Living and Memory Care) and Residential Care (also referred to as Long Term Care). There is also an Adult Day Program for people in the local community.
High Quality Care at an Affordable Price
Approximately half our beds are publicly funded and half private pay. Our not-for-profit status means that Millrise makes high-quality care more affordable.
SE Health is a not-for-profit,
trusted leader in providing care
Alberta Health Services partnered with SE Health to provide care that meets the highest standards set by federal and provincial health authorities. SE Health is a trusted not-for-profit provider of home care nursing, residential care and other healthcare services across Canada.
Care and Comfort Come First
The care and comfort of Millrise residents is our top priority – and our area of expertise. Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides carry out each resident’s written care plan from assistance with daily living activities to dementia and complex care. Our on-site staff are supported by a team of clinical experts who are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our clinical team also ensures that staff have the most up-to-date education, adhere to best practices and conduct audits to ensure the highest level of care is provided.
How We Ensure Quality
of Life – Every Day
We understand the importance of positive everyday experiences that go beyond physical care to include quality of life – good food, satisfying social exchanges, engaging entertainment and opportunities for interesting individual and group activities.
A History of Care and Service
As a not-for-profit social enterprise, at SE Health we believe and invest in making care better, helping people and communities grow stronger. SE Health began in 1908 as the Saint Elizabeth Visiting Nursing Association, founded by four pioneering nurses to care for new moms and babies, the poor and others. We have worked for more than a century to bring hope and happiness, and forever impact how people live and age.
Today, more than 8,000 SE team members nationwide provide health care services including home and community care, long-term care, acute care and primary care. When we asked home care clients if they would recommend SE Health to family and friends, a gratifying 97% said "yes." We work with governments, regional health authorities, hospitals, the seniors' living sector, community organizations and consumers.
The SE family also includes a dedicated research centre, health career college, futures lab and global enterprise. The research centre focuses on developing evidence-based solutions to tough health and social care problems. Together with the Saint Elizabeth Foundation and diverse partners, we have facilitated transformative solutions in the areas of aging, education, Indigenous health and end of life care.
SE Health is honoured to be a three-time recipient of the Canada Order of Excellence, one of Forbes' Best Employers for 2020, and one of Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures in 2021.
What Residents Say About Living at Millrise
D&H Leippi
We visited your beautiful residence last weekend to see our mother. We were so impressed at the warmth and cleanliness of the building, and it warmed our hearts knowing that she is receiving such amazing care! Everyone was so helpful, kind and compassionate! Such a great staff!
S. Kirkpatrick
We are so grateful you have become a part of our mother’s care. The peace our family experienced is hard to express in words, but we all breathed easier and slept more soundly knowing that we did not need to relocate our mother to a different facility. Thank you for working with existing staff to provide loving care, hope and happiness to all the seniors.
